high toxin load on the liver was making you sick. it is not a detox reaction. herpes will not break out a lot in a healthy body if at all. (with time)
you cant take valtrex if you have liver or kidney problems so i really wonder if it did any damage. you may want to take some milk thistle to help ease your liver out of toxin overload gently.
