honestly it sounds like an initial outbreak. and it sounds like she gave it to you.
but whatever. it doesnt change anything. you can carry it. but you usually get the reaction you are having after getting it from someone else because your body doesnt have an immunity built up to it yet.

feel better. have some chicken ,cheese or potato while you are sick. it will help you heal faster.
