I don't know if the odd bump on uvula is herpes, but I want to let you know you are right herpes 2 can grow on the knucle in the hand. I saw a picture that a person has herpes 2 on the knucle because of chapped skin and bled. The blood infected the good skin on the knucle of her hand. So your partner might have herpes hand without knowing, and hopefully he does not have herpes 2 on the hand. He should watch his hand more carefully, and see a doctor.
