Dear Dr. Venugopal,

I contracted HSV last May. The initial outbreak was really bad. High fever, headache, loss of appetite... for about 2 weeks. The blisters weren't that bad however.
I fasted for 3 weeks after that and took lots of vitamins, particularly IP-6 with Inositol. After that I didn't have an outbreak for months. Then, gradually I started to feel the symptoms come back : Headache, itching, tingling and I had 2 mild outbreaks lasting 2 weeks each.
