My gallbladder was removed in 1983. I thought I was going to have diahhrea the rest of my life. A few years ago a Holistic friend recommended Cholacol tabs. That is purified bovine bile.
Her theory was that if I didn't have a gallbladder I didn't have enough bile to start digesting my food in the stomach and when it got to my intestines it freaked out because things were not properly pre-digested and can't deal with it. Well, the cholacol helps a lot. I still have diahhrea some days, then I eat a hearty bran/fiber cereal and that helps too. If I quit drinking a beer in the afternoon it would help too, but.....
