Here's a link to an unusual place to get help for stroke - basically he says that stroke damage is not permanent.... the blood vessels of the brain become restricted and in 'vasospasm.' his therapy is to give drugs that open up the blood vessls... he's had remarkable success. then after the blood vessels are opened, the drug isn't necessary anymore. he was nominated for a nobel prize. i don't know anyone that has gone there, so i can't vouch for him either way.
