Hi Anne, Sounds to me like you have an eating disorder of some sort, maybe orthorexia. I understand that the symptoms you have are real, which makes it hard for you to eat what others would call 'normally'. I have this problem. After having years of disordered eating, I now have to eat carefully, or I get IBD and anaemia. Basically, I have to watch how much wheat, fruit and yeast things I eat, with a heavy emphasis on natural foods and no ready made things, I cannot tollerate colourings, or additives, which is no hard ship.

I think up to a point, we become worried of eating, which sets off warning signals to our brains. Our 'safe foods' become just that, as we are relaxed when eating them. I would concentrate for the moment on the foods you can eat, maybe increasing protein and EFA's. This is what helped me with my energy levels.

Anyway, Good luck.
