Eczema and Vaccination, 2 month old

I hope my story help in anyway to alleviate you baby's symptoms. My son was diagnosed with eczema when he was 2 mos old. He is 10mos now and just it is very much under control.

I felt then that it was caused by his immunizations. The outbreak occurred right after he had his first set of shots at 2 mos. old. His pediatrician denied that it has something to do with it. Anyway, I kept an eye on it and it seems like his symptoms got aggravated the most when he had his shots.

We tried everything we can think of including researching it in Internet, taking my son to various Dr., dermatologists, allergists etc to no avail. We tried Chinese medicine and alternative medicines. He had it worst in his face and later developed to his arms. His ped. then prescribed oral prednisole at 4 mons for five days after his shots. His symptoms cleared after 2 days but came right back on the 4th day and worst. He was covered from head to toe. I was so frustrated and confused and could not bear looking at my child then the way he suffered. None of the steroids, eucerine or any emollient worked (we have a full cabinet of creams, lotions and potions of all that we tried). He itched tremendously and hardly sleeps because of it.

His Dr then did allergy test and found that he was border line allergic to lactose but ok with eggs and wheat. (My son was still breast fed then).
He scratched his face that we put mittens on all the time and sometimes tie his arms down so he could not scratch up his face. It was a definite pain to him and his mom and also.

I finally found a cream in the Internet called 'skin-e-dip' . I bath him 2x a day with aveeno then apply the skin-e-dip to affected areas while still damp which gave my son relief from his itch and cleared his body but not his face. He was then changed to lactose free formula at 7 months but his face got worst.

Then I took him to a naturalpathic Dr. He tested him for food allergies and found that he was definitely allergic to one of the shots which he was given 3 times (at 2,4,6 mos), green veggies, lactose etc. He was then given homeopathic meds to detox from the shots poison and was put on goat milk. His dermatologist also had prescribed Protopic. Now my son is symptom free. Once in a while his cheeks get a flare-up then I just apply the
Protopic to clear it right away. Then he only uses Vanicream as body lotion.

Things that I found to help include 1. bathe 2x briefly a day in Aveeno. 2. stay away from allergens 3. detox to remove existing toxins. 4. use protopic when flare -up. 5. use Vanicream as body lotion.

Hope this will help to give some ideas on treating your baby. Bear in mind everyone is different and what may have helped my son may not work for yours.
