You might want to try a bar shampoo instead of regular shampoo which has all sorts of ingredients that are not good for you.
I have tried many different ones and this product from a sellar on ebay is wonderful, and my dtr has hair down to middle of her shoulder blades and is shiney and well conditioned. These bars are under 5.00 and last a long time. Fabulous ingredients too.
I am a big believer on natural products. I would try the coconut oil too. That makes a great conditioner.
