Ever hear of Scanpans? I took a macrobiotic cooking class a few years ago, and the instructor had so many good things to say about them. They are made of titanium and ceramic. This is an excerpt about the pans...
"The world's only pressure-cast "titanium" non-stick cookware! This radically different, non-stick surface is created by firing a unique, super-heated Ceramic-Titanium compound into a pressure cast aluminum pan at twice the speed of sound. The result is an indestructible cooking surface with unsurpassed non-stick capabilities.
Our full line of non-stick cookware will complement any kitchen. We carry fry pans, sauté pans, sauce pan, woks and more. Each piece is ideally suited for the new, healthier way of cooking, allowing you to use little or no fats or oils.
Scanpan's unique construction features the thickest and most tension-free base in the industry. It eliminates hot spots and provides a superior cooking surface. The tempered, heat-resistant glass covers offer see through convenience to prevent boil-overs and over-cooking. They are interchangeable. Scanpan cookware, including its glass lids and handles, is truly ovenproof up to 500°F.

Guaranteed not to warp
Can be heated in the oven up to 500°F
Works on all gas, electric coil, solid hot plate
and glass top ranges"
I've had mine for over a year and I've been very happy with them.
Now I'm looking for bakeware made of a "safe substance". I've had no good luck with Pyrex. I've had 2 pyrex baking dishes break into a billion pieces, once in the refrigerator, another time in the oven. Not a pretty sight. Nor did it put me in a pretty mood. So if anyone know's of baking dishes and cookie sheets that are aluminum free, non toxic and worth my time, please share :)
thank you!
