Okay, then the Epsom Salts are not strong enough. Yes, in my hones opinion, you will have to remove the blockage by hand. You said that the blockage is about 1/2 to 1 inch away from the opening. Put on the glove, put the jelly on the index finger, lubricate the area around your daughter's anus, to make sure that when you enter with the index finger you don't hurt that very sensitive area.

You take the finger and feel what is going on inside and try to move your index finger around the blockage (there must be some free space somewhere, as a liquid bowel movement is coming out). You use your finger as a type of hook and pull out the hardened stool. Beware, this may be painful for your daughter as the stool is usually hard as a rock and usually has rough edges. These may have been eased by the Epsom Salt. Gently pull the hardened stool out. Explain to your daughter what you are doing and tell her that it will hurt a little bit but there will be a huge relief afterwards.

Slow and gentle is the way to go.
