If all else fails, take a glove, put some KY Jelly (or similar) on it and pull the hardened stool out. I have done this before (on myself) but make absolutely sure that everything is well lubricated, otherwise it will hurt a lot.

In the meantime have her eat lots of roughage (raw veggies, salad, etc.)
