I was so excited to first learn about GABA rice, when looking up something related to hunger, starvation...etc.

The first time I made it/tried it, I was so sleepy after, it reminded me of what happened when I used to eat pasta...I never liked that feeling--almost like involuntarily nodding off.

still---I wish its method were taught to millions in parts of the world where hunger is paramount--

I sponser a young girl in East Africa
(somwehere I once lived, and feel so grateful for) )and when she writes that "crops" are few and many are searching all day for greens,I know what value GABA rice could have.

(*or would it???? I feel it's these greens they need most)

But, I do wonder, if it makes me so tired, how would it affect they that are working so hard every day, on so little?
*--again, greens and all live foods are so enlivening...

whereas GABA rice seems almost more the perfect food for the frazzled American--who can't sleep without pills. And those who want to slow down.

(of course, there is no rice there --easily available*** --but you have to wonder--where the UN and other agencies ship rice in as humanitarian aid, do they instruct people in this method?)
