First it depends on if a person knows how long ago they contracted the lyme. If it's recent, I really believe that Antibiotics are the way to go. If it's been a while, each person must decide for themselves. It becomes more difficult to treat. I don't think that it's a decision that is made lightly. Many people believe that late stage lyme can not be eliminated with Antibiotics and you can never get off of them without relapsing. There are several alternative ways to go that people have been experimenting with in the last few years, at this point I've chosen alternatives. Some things people are trying include the Salt/vitamin C treatment, rifing, samento, and a host of supportive treatments.

I'll repeat the link here that gives a sample of an alternative approach, and links to sites with articles that discuss the alternatives, and boards where people can search archives, chat and ask questions, and learn about the approaches.
