Did you (or someone you know) have this flesh eating bacteria? If so, what did you do about it?

I'm not sure that's what I have, as most of the websites you referred me to said there was severe pain associated with flesh eating bacteria, and my thumb doesn't hurt at all. It only itches. Yet..I'm not positive it's not the bacteria. It is odd that my skin is coming off like that...
