it is VERY possible that you are suffering from mold toxicity. mold is HIGHLY toxic and can cause all kinds of havoc to your system. i would advise that the first thing is to either get rid of the carpet or move, if symmptoms persist then you will at least know that is not the cause. also the digestive issues may be related to the change in diet from england to here, but not the blood coughing. get rid of the carpet, they are the #1 source of mold and all kinds of toxins. i have had mold toxicity and believe me it is horrible! the symptoms are wide and varied, so it is difficult to diagnose.
