...My husband heard last night that there is an outbreak of bedbugs in the New York area.

But, you are not there.

Somewhere on these boards, someone was pointing out the value to the skin of Cayenne pepper.

Apparently, black pepper destroys tissue, but Cayenne pepper heals it. I wouldn't use enough to feel burning, however, the poster suggested a bath with some added. You'd have to 'search' to find out how much to use, and other information.

P.S. Perhaps there is a soothing tea that can be applied, or added to the bath.
