hi,

i feel compelled to weigh in here. i know this is generally directed at women and i am a man, but i have been in two life threatening situations with people holding weapons to me and threatening me with harm if i did not do as they asked. both were traumatic, both were eye opening.

first i would say that all of the above advice is good, excellent.

however, i would like to add one thing. in a situation like that remember one thing-
LISTEN TO YOUR OWN INNER KNOWING VOICE!!!ALWAYS!!!!!

every situation like that is unique and every one might call for a different action. you may find yourself in a position where you really feel that you should do X even though X is counter to what you have been told, but if you really really feel that that is the right thing, do it.

both times i was threatened i attained an extremely heightened awareness of everything, including what i call the "voice of spirit," i listened and obeyed and both times i came out without a scratch. that is not to say there are not guidelnes, becaue there definitely are and the ones posted here are excellent. but sometimes just being aware and in the moment can get you out of a hairy situation, i know i have been there.
