Have you ever tried bathing in a strong Epsom Salt or clay bath? Both substances are excellent for drawing out impurities in the skin. Try one of the baths several times a week. Throw away your loofah and rough wash cloths and just soak your skin. Do not rub with a towel, just pat dry or if you can,air dry. Constantly abrading the skin will cause an overproduction of sebaceous material that both softens and protects the skin when produced in normal amount. Too much sebum can clog pores creating whiteheads. If it oxidizes blackheads appear, if the pore becomes inflamed the infamous zit is formed. Try a few weeks of soap free baths and showers, do the clay or ES baths if you can, do not rub the skin, avoid oils and lotions, get a safe amount of sunshine without any sunscreen, avoid scented detergents and fabric softeners (avoid fabric softeners totally if you can). Hopefully in a few weeks you will begin to see results. The waxy matter in whitehead is not pus, its sebum. Its a natural product that your body is over producing right now. THe more natural you can keep your skin, the better right now.
While I never had the problem to the extent you have, when I was younger my upper back was a solid mass of whiteheads and blackheads. When I stopped trying so hard to get rid of the and simply soaked in Epsom Salts , my back finally cleared. So often less is more when dealing with our body.
