Also, tonsils is related to the lymphatic system. Maybe you can get a rebounder and have him gently bounce on that for 10-20 minutes a day. Alternatively, get him to do some skipping, jumping jacks etc.. to help move the lymph.

Do your best to avoid removal of tonsils as the immune system will be affected for life.
