I read somewhere recently that if left completely alone, the body will detox. If the body doesn't detox, we die. The important thing is to get all of your eliminative organs working properly so that when your body detoxes, the toxins get expelled instead of reabsorbed.

Many people want to get the toxins out faster. That's where detox programs come in. The problem comes again with the eliminative organs. If a substance is detoxed, but gets all jammed up in the eliminative organs, it can't get expelled, so it gets reabsorbed, and the detox was useless. You must never detox more quickly than what your body can handle.
