My wife is due to have a baby at the end of October. She had a little high blood pressure and the docs are afraid she is developing preclampesia (sp?). the just measured some protein in her urine and are testing her blood. My understanding of preclampesia is that it is also called toxemia. I have a good understanding of what that means. If they decide it is preclampesia, they want to induce labor.

I do not ask that anyone take issue with the doctor's findings, I just want a better understanding of what is happening, and if we might have any other options.
