Yeah, I've heard that composites aren't the best material to use. I'm thinking about using ceramic. I haven't had any compatibility testing yet, though.
I've had a lot of those symptoms you have for quite some time now and others, too. Believe me when I tell you that I feel for you. I'm really sorry that you have to go through this. I think that detox will really help you when you begin. Have you considered taking some sweat baths with Bentonite clay or with epsom salt, baking soda, and ginger in the water to absorb any mercury that you sweat out? This might be a form of detox that you can handle right now. It generally makes me feel great, although sometimes I feel a little nauseous for five or ten minutes when I get out.
Another thing that I've recently discovered that has made a real difference in the way I feel is infrared heat sauna! You just have to make sure to take your minerals--especially magnesium, because sweating rapidly depletes your magnesium stores.
I have read somewhere that salt makes mercury more soluble, and I only found this out about ten days ago! I've been drinking hot, salty broth for several years now, and I've had worsening brain fog!! I wonder if there is any correlation? About two and a half years ago, I did a series of life-changing Liver Flushes and got a reprieve from brain fog, but in the past year, the fogginess has been worse than ever. Maybe I should think about doing another liver cleanse before I get my fillings out. [update on Feb 16: the infrared sauna has made my brain fog DISAPPEAR! I feel great! However, my ears are still constantly ringing]
I hope you start feeling better and getting well soon.
JB

Should I start taking selenium and vitamin E before I even begin to have my fillings removed? I've had a lot of those symptoms you have for quite some time now and others, too.
