Hey Katie -
I think that's fine -- but I'm concerned that all you are having is an apple with almond butter for breakfast.

I know you had mentioned before that you were trying to get away from sweets and had strong cravings for them (I think it was you).

If that is the case, more than likelly an apple with almond butter is not enough and will only set those sweet cravings in place right from the start.

I posted some tips for balancing blood sugar in a previous post that you might want to try implementing. Let me know if you can't find it and I will repost.

If you don't want to do animal protein in the a.m., you could try my "Raisins & Spice" recipe in my book -- without the apple juice -- for breakfast. You could add your flax meal to this. It would give you a little more sustenance and help with the sugar cravings/blood sugar.
