I highly recommend Carlson's Very Finest Fish Oil. I take it in the liquid form as it is supposedly superior to capsules. It has a pleasant lemon flavor, and I don't burp it up like the cheap stuff I've used in the past. It is more expensive than what you may see in your local drug store or supermarket, but well worth it. The fish oil comes from fish caught in Norway, and it is processed in Norway to maintain freshness. The fish oil has also been tested and purified for mercury, PCBs, and 28 other contaminants according to the label. In the winter, since I'm not getting any sun, therefore, I'm not getting any vitamin D, I take the Carlson's Cod Liver Oil because it has vitamin D in it. The rest of the year, I take the fish oil which does not have vitamin D. Carlson's cod liver oil and Carlson's fish oil both have natural source vitamin E added to them. The vitamin E is added to keep the fish/cod liver oil from oxidizing in your body. My sister takes this for inflammation; she has crohn's disease. I take it for good health in general, and I've noticed my skin doesn't seem to be dry. My aunt has started using it to help with her psoriasis. I believe everyone should be taking it. Years ago, when livestock were raised on grass, there was more omega 3 in their bodies. Now they are raised on grains, so when you eat the products from livestock, you're getting not enough omega 3 and too much omega 6 due to the grains they are fed.
