Yes, there have been errors made by the church in the name of God...but millions of Christians are being pursecuted for their faith a year just as we were warned by Christ himself. We're not perfect by any means and in some's zealousness for converting people to Christ, they've stooped to desperation to make other's become saved and in so doing have reverted to some pretty scrupulous means. Not everyone has the patience and tact that Christ had. Some choose to remain lost and therefore will choose hell over heaven because of it. All we can do is attempt to effectively get the gospel out and pray that whoever hears it will accept it. Part of getting the gospel out is living the way Christ taught us and loving eachother sin and all in hopes to reach out to them so they as well see the rocky road their travelling and the consequences thereof.
