I don't think for one second that Bush loves God. When Jesus told the story of the good Samaritan, the point of the story is that people that we think are lost are still our brother.
The Samaritans were idolators.

Sure, Bush thinks gays are lost, but he's not the judge, and I would bet he's more concerned with the tax break they would get than loving a brother.

I don't know if they are lost or saved, but they are still my brothers and sisters.
