i have had sleep apnea for years. i finally got over the fear of spending the night over at sleep clinic at a point i was short of breath all day and sleepy all the time..miserably sick. i got my cpap from the VA, and it is a blessing! i have the one with just the nose pieces. yes it takes an adjustment but you can regulate heat etc so your nose will not dry out. the machine is worth $700 and it is a blessing! it does not bother you to wear it at all, it is very light, you just look like a stealth fighter pilot over night. there is also nasal stuff for dryness available. it is worth buying of you do not qualify! i did with flying colors..........i had gained over 20 lbs over 2 years. my stomach was swollen from the gasping. now since i am on it, i have lost 8 lbs already! wear it at least 4 hours a night so they told me.
