I wonder how many here are doing the same...digging for good ideas.

I just discovered the 'body typing', as I mentioned above, and I found myself there, quickly followed by this.

If I really am a Kapha (Water body type) then the term 'Fat Flush' is very appealing.

Simple whole foods is the way to go, I think, and I need to please a husband who has been a meat and potatoes man all his life. (I haven't.)

They say it takes 8 years to switch away from heavy meat-eating. Bless his heart, he has come very far.

Thanks for all your good information, Happydog. You lift me.

I keep a Tony Little Gazelle in a tent on my porch, facing the sunrise. When I get at it, I do 20 mins. of impulse gliding. Two or three times in a week and I feel so very smug (grin), and physically enlivened.

I covet a balance ball and a rebounder, which I would use gingerly/lightly.

Beachcombing/metal-detecting has been wonderful this summer. It's rythymic movement on sand, and getting up and down on grass. The second instantly improved core muscle strength. The first was great for lymph, and fresh air. Both improved digestion, etc. (Plus we removed lots of junk from public parks, found a number of silver earrings, rings, and a bracelet: and about $70 in cash. You also pick up oodles of fun stuff - like the unused condom packet which was our first find.)

Apparently most people leave their metal detectors in the closet...due to the learning curve, I suppose. I highly recommend liberating them.

Off to the bookstore...

Thanks again, good people.
