I can't answer for Wrenn, but as I understand it muscle testing is based on the idea of an individual's body being able to "sense" what's right for HIMSELF/HERSELF. It's basically listening to the body and letting it tell you whether something is good to be taken in or not. What's good for one person won't necessarily be what's good for another. We all have different body types and constitutions, and things like deficiencies, illnesses, what kind of daily activity you do, etc. will all affect what the body needs.

If you mean testing "in/as a group" as more of a study, where each person tests a food for themselves and reports their findings or whatever, that could be interesting as kind of an observation on what kind of common responses are received from certain foods ... as kind of a broader testing ... but still shouldn't be depended upon as an override for an individual's own testing.

This also ties in with intuition.

"So, can we design a system that uses the best intuition of many sensitive people?"

"How many would it take to give us a reliable concensus to a simple 'yes'/'no' statement?"

Only one, if you're really in tune with yourself. Why rely on someone else's intuition when you can develop and trust your own? Highly intuitive people sure aren't going by someone else's intuition, they're going by their own. Intuition is a very personal thing. Relying on someone else's intuition, and even going so far as to SYSTEMATIZE it, is actually very counter-intuitive! And actually, the greater number of people involved, the less "intuitive" the result is going to be, because as you add more people, the percentage of those who are actually in tune with their own intuition, is going to drop dramatically. The number of people in the world who are in touch with, and able to listen to, their own intuition, is very small compared to the majority of the world who aren't able to distinguish the difference between real intuition and the opinions, cravings, preferences, and "voice" of the ego-mind.

And not only should you develop and pay attention to your own intuition, but you should do your own research also (as best as possible, anyway). Don't rely fully on intuition, but don't rely fully on "hard facts" or "scientific proof" either, because often the things presented as such are actually far from it. So the two need to be mixed. Do your research, learn and understand whatever it is you're dealing with, and then let your intuition be your guide.

But what do I know, I'm anti-intuitive.... let the Grand Collective Overmind reign supreme!
