As I said in the previous post, I originally intended to post some of my fav links (there is like 3 or 4 that are really good scientific)but I found it a real nightmare to find them.
Instead I am posting 'some' chicken scratches (some of my notes) and some copy paste material that I have handy. If however you would like my links Owen, give my an FTP and I will upload to you a bunch of my bookmarks and you can sort them for me.
This way it should work out better. I want people to double check this info and not just take it as given. If you find any of this info false or can add to it, please help out.

Milk Thistle: Milk Thistle is the most widely used and popular liver herb. It is a must have for anyone with Hepatitis C. It contains some of the most potent liver protecting substances known. Milk Thistle prevents free-radical damage by acting as an anti-oxidant, protecting the liver, and stimulates the production of new liver cells. Milk Thistle enhances detoxification processes in the liver. Milk Thistle is a safe herb and can be used to treat the following Hepatitis C symptoms: fatigue, brain fog, depression, swollen tenderness of the liver, and night sweats.
Vitamin B12: Vitamin B 12 is used for treating fatigue, depression, mental confusion, and memory loss. These are common symptoms of Hepatitis C. Vitamin B 12 promotes energy.
Vitamin E: Vitamin E is an antioxidant that is important in the prevention of cancer and cardiovascular disease. It improves circulation, is necessary for tissue repair, and is useful in treating premenstrual syndrome and fibrocystic disease of the breast. As an antioxidant, vitamin E prevents cell damage by inhibiting the oxidation of lipids (fats) in the liver and the formation of free radicals. It retards aging and promotes healthy skin.
Licorice Root: Licorice root is used to remove buildup of toxic metabolic substances in the body as it increases the liver's ability to filter out these wastes. In Chinese medicine, licorice is often used as a remedy for jaundice and is considered a great liver detoxifier. Licorice is also a good tonic for the adrenal glands. The Hepatitis C patient may experience persistent fevers and develop joint pain. This pain can be compounded one hundred fold by Interferon. Licorice root really helps manage these HCV symptoms.
Selenium: Selenium is a major antioxidant, it protects cell membranes and prevents free radical generation thereby decreasing the risk of cancer and disease of the heart and blood vessels.Selenium decreases the risk of breast, colon, lung, liver and prostate cancer. Selenium also preserves tissue elasticity, and slows down the aging process and hardening of tissues through oxidation. In Clark's study, people were given 200 micrograms (mcg) a day of selenium-that's the upper end of the "Estimated Safe and Adequate Daily Intake" set by the National Academy of Sciences for everyone.
"At levels of about 1,000 mcg -- or 1 milligram -- a day people start to lose their hair, they lose their fingernails, and they get gastrointestinal problems," says Ip.
People who ignore those signs can get a lethal overdose. "Everybody's scared about the results of this study because you could kill yourself with selenium," says Byers.
Trying to get more selenium from foods is a bit tricky because levels vary with the selenium content of the soil in which the foods were grown. "Most grains are a good source," Byers adds, "because most of our grains are grown in the upper Great Plains, which ave a fairly selenium-rich soil."
A selenium or multivitamin supplement with no more than 200 mcg of selenium doesn't worry most experts. "Our study shows that this dose is pretty safe," says Clark.
But, he adds, the source of the selenium used in his study was yeast raised on a high-selenium diet (see illustration). In contrast, "most of the selenium on the market is inorganic sodium selenite. And sometimes they throw sodium selenite into yeast and bottle it as high-selenium yeast."
Clark used high-selenium yeast because, just like the selenium in food, it is mostly incorporated into an amino acid called methionine.
And in earlier studies of a malnourished population in China, a supplement of high-selenium yeast (along with vitamin E and betacarotene) seemed to lower the risk of stomach cancer, while a multivitamin with sodium selenite did not.6
I started the vinpocetine & L-Carnitine at the same time & I noticed my brain fog disappearing by day 3! By day 4 I felt so great with loads of energy. When I stopped the L-Carnitine the brain fog did not return. I don't quite feel as energetic w/o the L-Carnitine.

Glutathione is a very powerful anti-oxidant, functional in both phases of liver detoxification. If it is used up in Phase I in the free radical process as an antioxidant, then not enough is left for Phase II. Increasing levels has a renal protective effect, mitigating the effects of Hg. In the brain, it works with selenium to form glutathione peroxidase, which is the substance that removes mercury from the brain. One of the major problems with glutathione is its availability for absorption. Studies have shown that using Vitamin C and N-Acetyl-cysteine can greatly assist in its uptake from the intestines.
Alpha-lipoic acid - incredible liver anti-oxidant. In Phase I, it acts in this capacity to scavenge and neutralize free radicals. Because of the sulfur groups in the molecule, it also has the ability to bind with mercury in the cells and help move it out of the body.Research has also shown lipoic acid to be very effective for other clinical problems such as:
Converting Vitamin C and Vitamin E from their "used" oxidized form to their "useful" reduced form.Stops the formation of kidney stones in research animals.
Has a beneficial effect on carbohydrate metabolism in diabetics.
Together with glutathione, it protects liver cells from heavy metal toxicity.
Increases liver ATP (energy molecule)
An activation of liver detoxifying function and energy production in patients
with liver disease associated with viral and alcohol causal factors.
Intracellular levels of glutathione increased as much as 50% with administration of lipoic acid.
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)
Another naturally occurring substance, it is liver friendly and augments the work of glutathione. It also enhances the absorption of glutathione. It is an ultimate component of bodily made glutathione, supplying cysteine, one of the three amino acids, which make up glutathione. The other two being glycine and glutamic acid.A very well done study, done in Italy showed that with the ingestion of NAC, even virally infected people did even become symptomatic. This would lead us to believe, appropriately, I think, that regular consumption of NAC is immuno-stimulating and a good practice for all, even if mercury toxicity is not an issue.

There is more but I don't feel like searching through the other Operating systems now. Anyway, my chelation program that I have put together will be mostly based on these substances so...
Hope this stuff is somewhat useful to you guys.
THanks and good luck to all of you.
