MH has been telling us all along not to coddle the body. in fact, cold is a major factor in his "strongest man in the world" story, not to mention the cold sitz bath and the "naked in an open pit" therapy. in this regard, the mans story is a confirmation.
the rest of the story is another manipulative mind control piece designed to convince people that modern health care is lengthening our lives:
"Rondthaler is a member of what demographers say is the fastest-growing segment of society -- centenarians, or people 100 years old and above. He and his cohort are increasing in number because more Americans are living longer than previous generations.
Reduced mortality
Over the past century, life expectancy in the United States has increased about 30 years, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This has brought the average life expectancy from 47.3 years for someone born in 1900 to 77.3 years for someone born in 2002.
"It comes to largely drops in infant mortality that took place over decades
(interesting cop to the most obvious flaw in their numbers).
Also improvements in public health, vaccines, ways to prevent killer diseases, keeping the water supply clean," said Winifred K. Rossi, deputy associate director of the Geriatrics and Clinical Gerontology Program at the National Institute on Aging."
this is in direct opposition to the teachings of MH and my own personal experience and observations. americans are in the worst physical condition in their history, and this trend is increasing exponentially as our environment becomes increasingly toxic.
so, why are they trying to convince us of the opposite? certainly, TPTB wish to instill and maintain our confidence in the present health care system, but there is a more insidious objective here. from the article:
"Rethinking retirement
As more and more people live longer, many of them are rethinking what it means to be old.
Dan Kadlec, co-author of "The Power Years: A User's Guide to the Rest of Your Life," says baby boomers will revolutionize retirement, which the first wave of them will enter in just a few years.
"I'm a boomer myself. I've watched, and many of us have watched, our parents retire way too early thinking they weren't going to live much longer."
they want to raise the retirement age, especially when it comes to social security. this will create another division in our society which i am seeing quite clearly already. the line is being drawn along similar lines as the economic haves and have-nots. these are the wellness haves and have-nots. while the poor are spending their lives working two jobs or more trying to make ends meet while they choose quick, cheap, and consequently deadly meals for themselves and their families, the wellness haves make money off of their cheap labor and fast food patronage while they eat organic food, have more leisure time out in the sun, reduced stress, and access to more savvy health care providers than the dime-a-dozen slash and burn HMO denizens.
good ole CNN. raping the minds, bodies and souls of the average american. stick that in your pipe and smoke it, dr gupta(he is a super schill or a moron, take your pick).
btw, notice the comment about a clean water supply. the reality is just the opposite. drink distilled only. a total mind control instrument, both this article and the water supply!
