I think that Dr. Kelley did coffee enemas every day for over 40 years, and I've read of one other person who did it that long. Personally, I did one (or two) a day for 6 months, then stopped for a month and am finally back to the routine. I had shoulder surgery and couldn't lie on my left side. I lie on the left side while getting the coffee in there, then 5 more min. on the left, 5 on my back and 10 min. on the right side. I still have one or more bowel movements before the enema every morning, just like I always have - and that didn't change during the month not doing it.
