Here are some you will have to read about/see which is closer/better for you. The alternative programs that are followed for degenerative diseases where everything goes wrong, like cancer, get much better results, healthwise, than what you are doing now.
If you are in excruciating pain after a year of therapy plus the threat of a paralysis coming back is more than enough to let a reasonable person know things are not getting better, but worse. They are giving you steroids just so you can get around/or not vomit, that is not a sign that a healthier you is just around the corner. Or in the next bottle of steroids (they inject into you). They are not giving you a steroid because you are healthy.

The above information is a few years old and more of the details are in the book, "Third Opinion" by John M. Fink, publisher, SquareOne and can be found at a large bookstore.

There are both M.D.'s and Ph.D.'s writing for either side: the treatments of Alternative Medicine have theirs, and conventional medicine has theirs. The simple, scientific truths of nontoxic treatments are too upsetting to the apple carts of conventional cancer therapy. The proofs are all over the place. But people don't want to see it.

Cancer patients who have to have bone marrow transplants do not have good chances for survival but very low chances and these chances get lower with each subsequent drug used in therapy.

Nontoxic treatments assist (the body) in removing (detoxifying) the chemotherapy (& other toxins) remaining in the body. Proper nutrition strengthens the body & immune system which attacks the cancer. Common sense should tell anyone that poison does not strengthen the body. Radiation can be offered to you as a rescue mechanism, but it is a poison. You will be changing how you treat your body by changing what you eat, an extremely important factor in any wholistic approach.

I don't know how many are in NY but read enough to be able to determine which one you and your family can stick with in advance, rather than switching from one to the other (common pitfall). The sooner the better.
