In one of Dr. Moss' newsletters, I read that mmamograms save at best 3-6 lives per 1000. The same newsletter (which I can not find) suggested that pre-menopausal women who had mammograms were slightly more likely to die from Breast Cancer than their peer group that did not.

I understand that there is a new ultrasound technology that vastly improves the screening ability, does not require compression, and eliminates the radiation risk. Perhaps this will be an improvement.
