There are (as you have seen) a number or approaches to treating cancer naturally.

Dr. Hulda Clark and Dr. Richard Schulze have had remarkable success in treating people the medical establishment has given up on.

But there are two hurdles that most cancer patients are unwilling or unable to get over.

1) Cancer is the end stage of our bodies fight against pollution, bad diet, immune breakdown etc. All cures (that I am aware of) involve DRASTIC changes in lifetsyle and diet.

2) The cancer patient must have faith in a system that is dismissed by conventional medicine as quackery and exploitation of desparate people by quacks whose motive is to give them false hope and extract money from them.

To overcome these hurdles the patient must have a tremedous determination and a lot of help from friends like yourself.

If your friend dosen't seem willing to make the sacrifices necessary to recover there is not much you can do. You can't do it for him. Don't be disappointed, most people are not willing to make the changes necessary and will not give up their faith in conventional medicine.

There are supplements and therapies that will help detox the chemotherapy and radiation and make life more bearable for people undergoing chemo and radiation. If your friend isn't interested in a natural cure, you may be able to help him with these.

My mother died of cancer in 2000. She was receptive to natural treatment to an extent and we were able to get the cancer into remission using natural treatment (mostly A*****ose), but in the long run she wasn't willing to make the changes required and bear the expense of the A*****ose and when the cancer came back she was ready to die.
