I did my first Liver Flush last year-and boy was I terrified. I'd had about 3 attacks of back pain that each lasted for about 3 days in a very short time.

I approached the cleanse with trepidation-I am a paraplegic with no voluntary control over the lower half of my body.

It went really well and I didn't end up in a mess as I'd feared.

I was cured of the pain for over a year-then it struck again last week.

I was petrified to do it again-and honestly it went so much better.

I took 4 teasp fulls of epsom in apple juice-followed by a big chunk of chocolate (sorry folks) at 6pm. I visited the toilet before the next dose at 8pm-when I took the same potion.

Again I visited the toilet.

At 10pm I took the oil and grapefruit. I did a huge cup-but couldn't manage the last inch of it-that was the worst bit. Then more choccy.

Another visit to the loo-then bed. Got up at midnight-loo again

Then went to sleep about 1am. Woke about 2am-with indigestion and the burps. Stayed in bed till 3am-got up to go the loo- found son in the kitchen cooking sausages nearly made me sick. This process really heightens your sense of smell. Took a pinch of bicarb in water-and then made a decision that I would sleep as long as I needed.

Woke at quarter to 11-and did the epsom mixture again-this time the stones came tumbling out.

Just kept going to the loo all day-had another sleep about 1-30pm till 3pm-then more stones.

Felt great so got dressed and went to supermarket about 7pm.

Pain has gone-but think I will do another one after New Year.

Why I think this one went better-was the chocolate took away the 'chewing on iron bar 'taste of the epso, which made me retch the first time.

Plenty of visits to the loo-kept my system clear.

Sleeping as long as I needed meant I didn't feel rotten the next day(like I did on the first one-then when I took the epsom at 7am I really felt ill!)

So flushed with success.

I still feel as though there's something niggling around-but certainly nothing like the awful pain I was in.

If I can do it-you can.
