Just want to pass on something that has really helped me control the bile salt diarrhea. I have suffered terribly from this problem since having my gallbladder removed over two years ago. I had tried various fiber type solutions (psyllium,etal) with poor-moderate results. About three months ago I began taking Calcium Citrate supplements. The results were incredible. I have near normal bowel function as long as I take the supplements every day. The dosage that I have found works for me is 900 mg (3 tablets) twice a day. I have tried to back down from this dosage but have found this is the minimum dosage for the desired results. I'm sure the dosage levels will vary between different people.
