I have to have my gall removed and decided to do some research. What I have realized more then anything is that, the procedure in itself is NOT the problem with a skilled physician. My Mother, Father and oldest brother ALL had their gall bladders removed with no negative after affects. All three of them had the same surgeon. No matter what surgery a person has, there are risks of complications. There is GREATER RISK if you have a poor surgeon. My advice, do background checks. To leave an infected, or clogged gall bladder in the body raises the risk significantly for tumors and cancer. SMOKERS ESPECIALLY!!! I feel for everyone that has had a complication. I have a son who developed Autrism after immunizations. Doctors and the medical community refuse as a whole to admit such a connection, but the facts, research and investigatory reports prove otherwise. The medical community is a good old boy system. I do not trust doctors, this is why I research and request names of previous patients. It is your right to feel safe. You do not just trust a person because they have a title of doctor. Doctor does not make someone God. Every story even my own with my son which is unrelated to gall bladder but Autism, when later researched, shows many related cases of repeated problems with that perticular doctor. The key is education and background checks. Trust no one and ask every question. With the right doctor, a patient will be just fine.

God Bless
