What is your common ground with this person. Start the communication there. Explore intrests, dreams, aspirations, goals, philosophies, etc. Make short term plans, take a class together that you can discuss. If you are passionate about what you like to do and what means something to you it should be infectious and inspirational. That can make a big difference in a relationship. In otherwords, live with passion, spark, energy and see if that ignites things.

Are there other things going on in your lives that are impacting the relationship?
