"...draws several conclusions from flimsy evidence."
Jac,
I think you need to go back and read her post again. The bullet points that I made came directly from her message...nothing flimsy about it!
According to her post, he didn't ask her to leave 'his' house....he told her to leave 'our' house...it was her home too! So you think it is okay that he told her to leave her own home when he was the one having the problem that required some time and space on his own?!
And about that solo time and space...according to her he filled up plenty of it with another woman's company...beginning the very day she left! 3 pages of a phone bill is a lot of calls! And when she discovered the bill he said they were 'just chatting'...and then two years later fessed up that they had gone on dates together (car parks, pictures) and that she had been in 'their' home! Do you actually believe that lying and misleading your 'partner' is excusable because of the circumstances?
Turning to a 'sympathetic ear' is perfectly understandable for anyone during difficult times...you are correct that if he wasn't able to turn to her there is an underlying problem there. However, I disagree with your conclusion that the issue is whether or not he is currently emotionally or sexually intimate with this other woman. The more fundamental issues here concern respect, honesty and trust...all of which he blatantly violated!
