I have to add something regarding candida and medication.
It is from my experience that it is NOT necessary to get on medication to fight off overtaking yeast.
I did The Master Cleanse and signs of yeast in my toe nails gradually started disappearing(and rather quickly.) I followed a candida fighting diet from the book "The Body Ecology Diet), took probiotics, and am working to keep it at bay...
In my opinion, cleansing, nutrition and herbs are the way to go.
One thing I will be adding to me regimine is a specific Olive Leaf extract which contains calcium eloniate. It has been found to fight off infections and fungus. But be cautious, not all Olive Leaf Extract is the same!!!!! You have to make sure (and make sure it is proven to you.) that it contains calcium eloniate.
