Hi Shelley I got some mung beans and I am cooking the Kichadi. A couple of things that I wanted to ask, if I can please? I got them from the Indian food shop and on the packet it says Moong beans, the guy in the store ensured me it the same beans. There small hard green beans look at bit like dry peas. The thing is that the man in the shop said that they do not need to be soaked over night, so I have just put them in the pan with the rice with out soaking. Is this ok or was thre another reson for soaking, like do they need to sprout? Just thought I would cheak this out with you. What ever way I can smell it cooking as I am writting this and it smells great...Thanks...Moonie
