Altho only certain areas will turn bright red, all your pores open up a bit and facilitate the release of toxins from the pores.

Good luck on the baking! Use a mix of flours for best results, and you may have to increase the oil/butter in the recipes by about 2 tablespoons and add an extra egg yolk if the recipe calls for eggs, to have things "hang together" better. :)
