I suggest you find a dentist who has both knowledge and experience with the removal of mercury amalgams. The internet is chaulked full of excellent info on just how harmful mercury is to human health. There is even a class action case developing against the American Dental Association for continuing to promote the use of mercury amalgams. Extremely credible research is available about neurotoxicity caused by mercury Amalgams conducted by the University of Calgary. Sweden also has banned the use of mercury Amalgams and it is restricted in other parts of europe. Many dentists and doctors(especially neurologists) are speaking out against the continued practice of placing mercury Amalgams in people's mouths. Oh sure you can find some industry backed Science that suggests its safe, but this amounts to junk Science of the kind that finds tobacco healthy. Follow the money and weigh the motives on either side. Then follow your instict or common sense. Its your money and your health.

It is important to use a dentist with experience because their is a very stringent protocol that holistic dentists follow for the removal of mercury. Finding the right replacement is also very important. Do lots of research and ask lots of questions of others who have already had it done.
