Well I'm finally moved! I've been off the boards for a while... had to get three classes out of the way in two months, June and July )I'll never do that again!). Then I had August to pack, move (driving halfway across the country it seemed like, driving slower than I care to mention), get set up in a new place and all the attendant chores of getting new drivers license, bank accounts, wait to hook up utilities and on and on... and get ready for school. Whew! It took all of the month to get things done, practically... I still haven't had any time to relax and school already started last week. It's been busy!
"Pine nut" feels like a "milk dud"! Or maybe a "pine dud"? LOL. Just imagine an old, worn-out dishrag... the kind thats all thread-bare and wet and soggy... old and worn out. That's it pretty much. Of course travelling with a nervous older mother to drive the other car didn't help either... I've never seen so many "pit stops" in all my life! I think we averaged about 40 MPH all the way from Vegas to Austin... you figure it out. Not a pretty sight. Pit stops, naps, irrational fears, excuses, more pit stops... on and on and on... when will it ever end? It's enough to drive you crazy! :)
Finally we got here. San Marcos, Texas... just a wee bit from Austin. But I'm gonna "claim" Austin, anyway. Who wouldn't? :) All set up now and ready to go. Mom finally left, too. Yay! Now I can "breathe easy" maybe. Well maybe in a couple days, anyway... my body is still on "red alert" or something, until it knows for sure it can relax, finally. It's still "sinking in" I guess!
So now I'm a Texas State "Bobcat" going to school with people half my age (stop laughing, now!) but I'm loving it! Na-na-na-na-na-na!
I think I'm going to enjoy this... I really do. It's nice to know you're not "stuck" anymore and living somewhere you like. Good for the soul, as they say.
I haven't done a Liver Flush for 4 or 5 weeks now, and have had to eat lots of "road food" but that's understandable. Actually was eating more while travelling than in vegas and maybe I need to keep that up. Maybe "not eating enough" is what makes me feel crappy sometimes.
