Yes there was some scientific research within the last few years which established a link between being fed soy as a baby/toddler and later developing the severe form of nut allergy. Children who have this allergy are much more likely to have been fed soy when they were very young. Even though there might be other factors involved I would definitely avoid giving soy to young ones.
