JV - It really is interesting. I wonder why it does that to the blood. I'm somewhat familiar with the "unclean" foods from the Bible. Have you read, The Makers Diet, by Dr. Rubin (Garden of Life)? I haven't yet but am interested in it. He seems to really know his stuff.

Shelley - Interesting question about the lard. Hmmmm.
