Hi Shelley,

I gave a good look at Lugol's solution lately because I read on some website (Ask Walt Stoll I think) that if you have giardia, (which I do), that taking Lugol's solution for a week will knock it out...

However, then I read a few hysterical accounts (or at least one) here on curezone of people who had taken Lugol's and had it mess up their thyroids... Also, in the lab where I work they give Lugol's solution to people who work with radioactive Iodine (Lugol's stops the uptake of the radioactivity by the thyroid). I spoke to a guy who took the Lugol's and he told me it "messed up his metabolism" for weeks...

So I'm kinda bummed. I'd love to try the Lugol's to see if it will knock out the giardia (becuase NOTHING ELSE seems to be doing it and I am getting desperate!), but I don't wanna mess with my thyroid..

Any thoughts?
