Interesting read! :) Okay, I think what they are talking about is a lot like how Oxypowder works, but I could be wrong.

Basically, the Iodine is in a compound that has an extra oxygen or hydrogen atom to make it more of a ion, and as it is digested and assimilated, that oxygen or hydrogen (I always forget which is which LOL! geez it gets tough being dyslexic when everything in health comes in PAIRS argh!!!) with a free connection is vital for the absorption process. To use an anology, it has an extra atom to leave it free to shake hands with another molecule. If you take an anti-oxidant, it will strip the Iodine free of that shake hands part, making it inert. Hope that makes sense! :)

Some bakers save egg whites in ice trays to freeze for later projects like Meringues. I decided long ago that eggs were so cheap it really wasn't worth the trouble, so down the drain they go. My dogs don't like egg whites. Your dog should be okay as long as he/she is getting good protein sources, just don't overdo. Maybe one egg white a day per 25 pounds of dog? :)
